Armadillo are omnivorous, meaning they eat plants, bugs, animals, they’ll even scavenge other dead animals if they have to.

In the Patagonia region of Argentina, there’s at least one (unconfirmed) case of a hairy armadillo killing and eating a magellanic penguin.

This might just be a one off occurence, but as we’ve seen (and posted: gulls hunting pigeons April 12th 2019) animals can adapt and learn new ways to feed themselves.
