River Wolf
πŸ“Έ by Bjorn Olesen

This South American otter is the world’s largest, measuring up to 6 feet (1.8m) long and weighing in at 75lbs (34kg).
It lives only in the rivers and creeks of the Amazon, Orinoco, and La Plata river systems.

They eat approximately 6 – 9 pounds (2.7 – 4kg) of food per day, with fish making up most of their diet.

Giant otters have been hunted extensively and their wild populations are at risk.

They are one of the most endangered species of South American mammals.
