Mountain Ghost

A snow leopard and the vanquished, a siberian ibex.

Snow leopards are adapted to their arid, mountainous homes.

Their paws are very wide and covered in fur, and they work like natural snowshoes.

Their tails are used as fat storage, they are massive and almost as long as the snow leopards body.

When the weather gets rough, they’ll use it as a blanket to shield themselves from the bitter cold and blowing snow.

Their tails also act as a counter-balance while they are chasing prey up or down the mountains.

They can leap 20ft (6m) in the air, a significant advantage when hunting prey at elevation.

One ibex kill can feed a snow leopard for 2 weeks, as these predators consume all edible parts of each animal before hunting again.
