Cattle King

The Ankole-Watusi is a modern American breed of domestic cattle.

It derives from the Ankole group of Sanga cattle breeds of central Africa.

It is characterized by very large horns, with which the watusi’s relatives native to Africa use to spear attacking lions, if and when they test their luck.

The horns on this particular bull have grown downward and into the skull of the animal, as if carrying those massive horns around wasn’t tough enough.

This guy lives in Texas, so while he’s well beyond the reach of any African lions, Texas is home to mountain lions and other predators.

He’s survived this long though, I think I like his chances.
