A man hunting in Hearst, Ontario Canada gets charged and tackled by a black bear.

Black bears are the smallest and most abundant bears in North America.

They have a reputation for being skittish and easy to scare away, and while that might apply to most black bears, it is glaringly obvious that it does not apply to all of them.

Black bear attacks are not as common as grizzly attacks, but their close proximity to human-populated areas is still cause for concern.

At the moment, there are 1.25 fatal black bear attacks each year for the entire continent. Even with this very slim chance, black bears should still be given a wide birth when encountered.

Luckily, this experience ended with nothing more than a bruised elbow and an incredible video.
