These snakes are considered mildly venomous, as in their venom is not dangerous, to us at least. Humans that have sustained bites from this type of snake report an itching sensation around the affected area.

Their main prey include frogs, birds and lizards.

When threatened, they’ll let you know in a few ways: the most common is to hold its mouth agape and expose the dark lining of the oral cavity/throat. The other way is by farting.
