Brute Force

The most severe tornadoes in recorded history have topped out at a wind speed of over 200mph (321km/h).

Wind speeds of 50mph (80km/h) are all it takes to send debris through brick and mortar, so it goes without saying – the last place you wanna be during a tornado or any other windy weather event (eg: hurricane) is outside.

Just for reference, the smallest tornadoes (EF-0) produce winds between 65 – 85mph (104 – 136km/h) and the largest ones (EF-5) generate winds in the aforementioned 200mph (321km/h) range.

To quote @ronwhiteofficial:

It isn’t that the wind is blowin’… it’s what the wind is blowin’. If you get hit with a Volvo… it doesn’t really matter how many sit ups you did that morning.
