Put On A Brave Face
πŸ“Έ by @pierrejonqueres_photography

Leopard with an unlucky scrub hare.

In order for their species to survive, hares/rabbits of all shapes and sizes have evolved to reproduce at an incredible speed to keep up with the rate that they are killed and eaten by predators.

Hares/rabbits have no mating season because they can mate/breed at any point in time (unless they are already pregnant). In general, the gestation period is between 31 and 42 days and they can give birth to 12 babies at a time.

On average, a single female hare/rabbit can give birth to 800 offspring in her lifetime.
