Bullsnake raiding a robins nest.

The bullsnake is one of the longest snakes in North America. They have been known to reach up to 8ft (2.4m) in length.

They are very good at climbing trees, which enables them to prey on nesting chicks while the mother is out of the nest. Bullsnakes have also been known to attack and kill the mama/papa bird while they sit on the brood, leaving the other half of the breeding pair alive to recount the horror.

One bullsnake can eat up to 5 chicks within 15 minutes, meaning that if timed correctly, a bullsnake can come and go before the parents know what happened.
