Hind leg of an eastern grey kangaroo, the primary defensive weapon in this large marsupials arsenal.

Australia is a wild place, so it should come as no surprise that the animal most associated with the continent is equipped to throw down when things get messy.

Kangaroos can be dangerous around people, and those large prison shanks on the end of their hind legs are the source of that danger.

Roos that become accustomed to human food (garbage) will sometimes pick fights with people near the source of that food, and those daggers on the end of their feet can very easily disembowel a man.

They are especially dangerous around dogs because of the resemblance they bear to dingos, one of their main predators.

So if you didn’t know, now you know.
