One of the main differences between crocodiles and alligators is the shape of their snout. Crocodiles sport a narrow v-shaped snout, while the snout of an alligator is more u-shaped and wide.

Another way you can tell them apart is when their mouths are shut. A closed crocodile yapper creates a toothy grin, as some of their teeth stick out and over the upper lip, whereas an alligators teeth are hidden completely when the mouth is shut.

Now, I think this guy is ready for soy sauce and wasabi.
